Boating on the Bay
I don't think people understand how relaxing and tranquil being out on the water is. It was a little chilly but it was just what the "love" doctor ordered.
At about 2pm, I got a call from the Man saying he was getting off early and he asked if I wanted to go to the Bay with him and a couple of friends. I agreed, found a sitter for a few hours (daddy dearest) and we went down to Kemah. If you don't know what that is, it's a little town right outside of Seabrook. The Boardwalk is there so it's a tourist attraction.
As soon as we got out there, we met up with our friends and hopped on board. The further we got away from the dock, the more relaxing it felt. The motion from the waves, the sun setting...it was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better and relaxing evening. I've been on yachts and I've been on cruises and those are cool. But the best "boat rides" are those that are personal. If ever you get the chance, do it. I felt like I threw a lot of my worries out yesterday. I couldn't have asked for a better way to relax and unwind.
So now I'm in the process of trying to convince Him that we should buy us a boat. I was thinking something like a cabin cruiser or a cruiser yacht.
I'm working on it. I'll let you know how that went.
