Sometimes I wonder about some women and their standards. While I can't control what they do, it almost scares me to my core that some of them will settle for much of nothing!!
Because we had a big graduation on Saturday, Sunday was party time. I very rarely host parties, dinners, etc. at my house -- especially when my ratchet family is involved -- but I decided to go ahead and let 'em cause break us all the way in to the new neighborhood. I knew it was destined for drama when a few of them called me talking bout "how you get in dese gates?" I should've called it off immediately. We went on with the plans and everything seemed to mellow out. Kids were outside, swimming, having fun. What wasn't cooked already was being fixed and what was cooked was being heated up and nibbled off of. The women gathered in the kitchen/dining room and the men went into the game room. Nothing was of concern until my mom's youngest brother comes through the house to go outside. When he comes back in, his JUMPOFF was behind him. He introduced her to us as his "friend" but come on now, we know all way better. His FIANCE was sitting in the same room and we're looking at her then at this other woman, waiting on something to go down. The men in my family are a trip and the women are bold (not messy). This lady stayed throughout dinner, the whole time she and the fiance are exchanging dirty looks at each other. As we were eating, I could no longer hold back and I asked the side chick where they met. She said they worked together (umm, yeah right). My aunt laughed and said "I thought he was in between jobs." You would've thought that set it all the way off...it didn't. She actually left not long after that..I guess the heat was starting to get a little too hot for her.
After we ate, we were all talking and my mom asked my uncle (in front of his fiance) "so that's your girlfriend huh?" You could've heard a pin drop after that question. He danced around it then somehow wiggled his way out of the room. That left her in the room with a bunch of women who wanted to know what the hell was going on!!! To sum up how she felt, she's in denial. She doesn't believe they're sleeping together and she also had the audacity to fix her face and say that some women were just "stupid." We all had the Scooby Doo face going on because her man brought his jumpoff to a family dinner and she just sat there and took it like a big girl...now that's stupid. The cake topper was when she let the statement "it doesn't matter what he does in the streets, he's coming home to me at the end of the day" come out. I wanted to pick up my lovely vase on my end table and crack her upside the head. I didn't know women thought like that...where the hell have I been?
That whole situation was just perfect for what followed. The oldheads came in and dropped some knowledge on us "youngins" and that's always great. It's like getting the advice without asking for it, free of charge. You get it straight, no chasers. What more could you ask for?? I wish that advice would've been dropped on this chick long ago b/c she sure as hell could've used it lol.
Oh well...until it happens again, that's the tell of Him, Her, & She.

Whaaaaat? That is definitely an ohmuhgudnissssss moment. What is wrong with women these days?? I mean seriously... Used to, you had the side chicks that were just STUPID run-of-the-mill chickenheads but now you also have the wifey-to-be just as stupid??? Girl, WHY did you resist the urge when you had that wonderful vase idea?
ReplyDeleteWomen, please get some self-respect. PLEASE. Your man is supposed to cherish YOU... Who takes an opposite-sex 'friend' with them {and their fiance} to a family gathering? C'mon. I mean, just THINK.
